Yew Dining Table
This table was built from Yew wood slabs that were cut down and milled over 20 years ago outside of Seattle, Washington. The clients family cut down this tree to make room for a renovation on a lake house and knew they wanted to save the wood to use for something. His father used several pieces in the renovation and the client was able to hold onto these slabs to use for himself one day. The result was this amazing table with beautiful lines. The legs are all steel and required a lot of welding and blending to get the radius smooth for the transition from vertical to horizontal. I love that I was a part of turning these slabs into a piece of furniture for this family as a reminder of their wonderful childhood memories.
