I built this for a friend who had recently started making and selling jewelry and she needed a desk that she could work on and be able to lay out designs. There are eight separate “bowls” and two long slots to lay our different stones or beads in. It has an inlaid ruler and three drawers to hold supplies and materials. The slab was supplied by the client from a lumber yard in upstate New York and the custom steel leg really highlight the dark grain in the wood. The cabinet and drawers were built using thirteen ply Baltic Birch and some fun drawer pulls.
